Microsoft has finally officially launched
their new Surface Precision Mouse which is now available to purchase priced at US$ 99.99. Designed to provide users with “exceptional accuracy, comfort, and
control” the new Surface Precision Mouse is equipped with three customisable
buttons and can be used either via a wired or Bluetooth connection, depending
on your preference.
Microsoft has also enabled the Surface Precision
Mouse to recognise three individual PCs and switch between them seamlessly,
depending on the one you are using. Other features include a total of 6
buttons, including right and left click and scroll wheel button, smooth or
magnetic detent customisable horizontal and vertical scrolling and rechargeable
lithium ion batteries that are capable of providing up to 3 months of use from
a single charge.
The Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse is supported
by both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems although the customisation of
buttons and Smart Switching is only available via the Mouse and Keyboard Center
application, which unfortunately is not available supported by the Windows 10 S
or Mac OSX operating systems. Windows 7 users will also only be able to use the
mouse via a wired USB connection using the provided cable. Specifications of
the Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse include 122.60 x 77.60 x 43.30 mm and the
mouse weighs 135 grams.
