Taiwanese consumer electronics company, HTC, has
been in the smartphone industry for some time but it has not really stamped its
name on the leadership board. Some users believe that this company releases
average spec devices for high prices but this time, it appears that HTC has its
sight on an entry-level device. According to popular leakster @evleaks, HTC is
working on an entry-level fullscreen smartphone codenamed “HTC Breeze”. It is
the second time that the company is using this code name. This news is coming
just about a week after a mid-range HTC device with Snapdragon 625 surfaced on
Geekbench.
HTC's got an upcoming 5.5" phone, Breeze
(second time as HTC codename), that's mostly notable for pushing full screen,
18:9 aspect ratio down to entry level. Therefore specs are nothing special
(Mediatek SoC, 2/16GB, 13/5MP, 2730mAh, etc), and it should be priced to
reflect that.
From Evan Blass report, this smartphone will be
powered by MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal
storage. It will be equipped with a 5.5-inch full-screen display with 18:9
aspect ratio. In the camera department, this smartphone will sport a 13MP
primary snapper and a 5MP shooter will also be available for selfies. The
lights of this device will be kept on by a 2730mAh non-removable battery.
Looking at the specs of this smartphone, it is pretty average thus it is
expected to come with a low price tag.
