If you chase back the history of Chuwi, you will
notice what really earned its popularity among other competitors of the markets
out there. It is the very first Hi8 tablet and in order to sustain the good
name of Hi8 and deliver much better user experience, Chuwi now introduces the
Hi8 Air, which runs on Windows 10 and Android 5.1 operating system.
It is an upgraded version of Hi8 as it comes with
the same 8″ FHD and a 16:10 aspect ratio but inside there’s an Intel X5 Cherry
Trail Z8350 processor with a base frequency of 1.44GHz and turbo frequency of
1.92GHz. It will feature a metal chassis with space grey/silver finish on the
surface, and all-metal frame and OGS fully laminated LCD as well.
In terms of the storage, it sports 32GB of internal
storage and 2GB of RAM. In addition, there is a microSD slot that helps you
expand the storage to 128GB more. The battery inside is 4000mAh one and
Bluetooth 4.0 is supported. When it comes to connectivity, there’s a micro USB
port, micro HDMI with 1080p output, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for daily use.
Inside the box, you’ll also find the 5V/2A charger, OTG cable, and a bluetooth
keyboard.
The specs sheet doesn’t seem strong compared to
other latest tablet from Chuwi lineups like the SurBook Pro, Hi9 Air, and GBOX
Mini PC so we say that it’s ideal for the students who seek something reliable
and affordable, as it should come at a very competitive price. More details
will be available soon on their official website.
