Sony is preparing to launch a new set of headphones
during spring 2018 priced at US$ 300 and taking the form of the Sony MDR-1AM2,
which come equipped with aluminium-coated, liquid crystal polymer diaphragms to
provide users with a more consistent and precise sound across the “entire
frequency range than even a conventional LCP driver,” says Sony.
The new Sony headphones were showcased at this
year’s recent CES 2018 show and offer users a wide frequency response for a
full range of sound spanning 3Hz to 100kHz. The MDR-1AM2 headphones also come
supplied with silver-coated oxygen-free copper cables, created to “minimise
resistance and signal-transmission loss”. The advanced acoustic design and
materials of the headphones combine to create high-resolution audio headphones,
which Sony says “capture the true essence of each track, from deep bass to
soaring vocals, sound stays true for an authentic listening experience”.
Features of the Sony MDR-1AM2 headphones include
swivel ear cups for portability, smartphone compatibility, in-line remote
microphone, responsive liquid crystal polymer drivers and heavyweight base with
Beat Response Control technology.
