Samsung along with ‘The Wall’ 146-inch modular TV
has also introduced the new Q9S 85-inch 8K QLED TV with AI technology at the
CES event. The new 8K AI technology is based on machine learning which analyzes
the content and automatically upscales low-resolution images into 8K picture
quality.
The new 8K AI technology transform all pictures into
8K regardless of native resolution or method of transmission. Though the market
is flooded with 8K and UHD TVs, the content that best matches the
high-resolution screens isn’t available. However, the Samsung’s AI technology
is a sign of relief.
The QLED TV is equipped with a database that studies
and analyzes millions of images in advance to transform low-resolution content
into high-resolution. When any low-resolution image is sourced, QLED TV selects
the optimal filter and converts the source into a high-quality image. It
increases the image processing 64 times without compromising gradation.
It categorizes elements of sourced picture quality
through black/blooming/brightness by scene to produce pictures with richer and
more detailed contrast. It automatically optimizes the picture quality to specific
scenes, without having to change any settings. The Samsung 8K QLED TVs with AI
technology will be launched during the second half of 2018 and will be
available to screens larger than 65 inches.
