QNAP have been showcasing their new
personal robot and assistant at this year’s CES 2018. The AfoBot robot is equipped with a wide variety of
features including voice interaction, face recognition and the ability to place
video calls, entertainment, and help you manage your daily life, Thanks to the
creation of the AfoTalk mobile app which has been designed to help you
communicate with your personal robot as well as keep your family members
updated.
As well as unveiling more details about their new
AfoBot personal robot, QNAP also unveiled a new Internet of Things mini server
in the form of the QBoat Sunny. Designed to provide easy management and
monitoring of connected devices the smart home automation system allows you to interface
with a variety variety of IoT services and devices. Powered by an AL-314
processor supported by 2GB of RAM, the QBoat Sunny is equipped with two M.2
slots for SSDs, 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, and 3 x Gigabit LAN ports, with a
third M.2 slot available for wireless modules if desired.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or
worldwide availability has been released as yet by QNAP, but as soon as
