At CES 2018, Lenovo has unveiled its new
Snapdragon 835 powered Windows tablet, which takes the form of the Lenovo Miix
630, offering consumers a 2-in-1 tablet preloaded with Microsoft’s latest
Windows 10 S operating system. The hybrid tablet/laptop is the first Qualcomm
Snapdragon system to be created by Lenovo that runs Windows 10 S and also
features a built-in Gigabit LTE modem.
The Lenovo Miix 600 features a detachable keyboard
allowing it to be used as either a tablet or laptop depending on your
requirements. The 12.3” WUXGA+ LCD screen that has a 15.6 mm height when the
keyboard is fitted and the system is capable of supporting either 4 or 8 GB of
RAM depending on your requirements, with up to 256 GB of NAND flash UFS storage
also available. The tablet is also equipped with a 48Wh rechargeable battery
that is capable of providing up to 20 hours of use from a single charge.
Other features of the Lenovo Miix 630 include USB
Type-C connector, an SD card reader, and Cortana personal assistant support as
well as an IR-enabled webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition for
easier logins and enhance security to protect your data. Hardware
specifications include a Adreno 540 GPU at 710 MHz graphics chip which supports
the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 of either 4 x Kryo 280 Performance (2.45 GHz) or 4
x Kryo Efficiency (1.9 GHz) together with a 5 megapixel front facing camera for
video calling, and a 13 megapixel rear facing for video and photographs.
The Lenovo Miix 630 is expected to launch sometime
during March or April 2018 with prices starting from US$ 799 which includes a
pressure sensitive stylus offering 1024 levels of sensitivity. As soon as
