Last year on November 2 the Taiwanese HTC officially
launched its annual flagship named the HTC U11+. It came in with three colors
including the Translucent Black, Ceramic Black, and Amazing Silver. But seems
the company will release a new red variant as well. At least, the AliExpress
product page shows the HTC U11+ Red is on pre-order at a price tag of US$ 799.99
(5200 yuan). In comparison to other models that cost 4999 yuan (US$ 769), it costs
a bit higher. But as there are no info or photos concerning this version, we
have no idea why it’s priced higher.
This leak is a bit strange, as we have been waiting
for the Blossom Gold variant shown in spy photos after a couple of days of its
official release. Now it turns out the manufacturer has changed its mind and
decided to come in with a trendies color. We impress in this way, because most
of the Chinese smartphone makers have already launched the red variant of their
annual flagships. Among them, we can mention the Oppo R11s, VIVO X20, Huawei
Nova 2s, Huawei Honor V10, Xiaomi Mi 5X, etc. So the company has decided to
join this parade as well.
The HTC U11+ Red should come with a 6-inch display providing a
resolution of 2880 × 1440 pixels, supporting DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and
providing HDR10 high dynamic images. Like other top-notch flagships, it is
packed with a Snapdragon 835 chip, which is paired with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB
of ROM. The rest of features include a 3930mAh capacity battery, 12MP camera
using an UltraPixel 3 sensor and supporting OIS and UltraSpeed full-pixel
autofocus.
