Today, we learn about
another 18:9 screen budget device that will be coming in Spring, the Cubot R11.
Although Cubot R11 will be placed in the entry-level
segment of the market, it will still feature the popular 5.5″ 18:9 full screen
with a screen/body ratio of 83%. Of course, the display will be its killer
feature but it will perform excellently in video playback and web browsing too.
As for the hardware, the R11 will come with a quad-core MT6580P SoC, 2GB of RAM
and 16 GB of internal storage (expandable to 128GB more). There will be a
vertically placed dual camera with AF on the back (13MP/2MP) with 500MHA LED flash
for perfect Bokeh effect. The front camera will be an 8MP HD camera with
beautify function.
Cubot R11 will also be carrying the latest Android
version, Android 8.1 Oreo with which Google, gives a solution to the eternal
problem of Android fragmentation. Also, the OS core is rewritten to offer
smooth performance even to lower-end devices. What’s more, Cubot R11 adopts a 2800mAh aluminum
high-voltage/high-capacity battery in order to make the body slimmer. It may seem
a bit weak, but with Android 8.1 power management, it will be more than
adequate.
Cubot R11 will be available by the end of March with
a very attractive price tag, so stay tuned.
