Acer have unveiled a new touchscreen laptop in the form of the Acer Chromebook 11 C732.
Designed for educational market and students the semi-rugged laptop has been
tested and certified with MIL-STD 810G and IP41 water resistance enabling it to
withstand both spillages and drops from up to 4ft in height.
Internally Acer has equipped the Chromebook 11 C732
with a choice of Celeron N3350 dual-core or Celeron N3450 quad-core processors
that can be supported by a choice of RAM and storage configurations including
up to 8GB of RAM, and a choice between 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of eMMC storage.
Acer offers both touchscreen and non-touchscreen
displays for the Chromebook 11 C732 laptop, in the form of a 1366 x 768 pixel
IPS touchscreen and a IPS non-touch display, or a non-touch TN display with
more restrictive viewing angles. Other features include connectivity for 4G LTE
in some regions, as well as the standard connectivity for Bluetooth 4.2 and
802.11ac wireless.
The Acer Chromebook 11 C732 measures approximately
22mm thick and weighs approximately 2.8lbs in weight. Pricing for the
touchscreen version will start at US$ 300 while the non-touchscreen systems will
be priced a little cheaper at US$ 280. All Chromebook 11 C732 are expected to be
made available to purchase during March 2018.
