Ahead of CES 2018! Cambo Report, a
YouTube user dropped a high-quality hands-on video of the upcoming Samsung
Galaxy A8 and A8+ (2018). It showed the very premium metal and glass
construction with IP68 water and dust resistance and the new 18:9 ultra-wide
Super AMOLED Infinity Display and rounded screen edges.
According to the video, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will
feature a 5.5-inch screen while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) boasts a bigger 6-inch
display. Both are in 1080p resolution. Inside, both phones will be powered by
the Exynos 7885 chipset with up to 2.2GHz clock speed. They'll come with up to
6GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB expandable storage, and 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh batteries,
respectively.
These phones will also be the first Galaxy devices
with dual front shooters for a better Samsung Live Focus bokeh effect and
should be amazing selfies. In particular, it has a 16MP f/1.9 + 8MP f/1.9 dual
selfie cam setup. At the back, there's a 16MP f/1.7 shooter for lowlight
shooting.
Bixby is noticeably present based on the video, but
the previously rumored Bixby button is not present on either phones. The phone
will also have a faster than iPhone X (based on the video) face unlock feature.
