Today the second smartphone manufacturer in China
released a new phone based on the much-popular R11s as the best New Year gift.
The Oppo R11S Star Screen New Year Edition has got a few appearance changes,
but the hardware remains the same. However, this is the highest variant of the
company’s current flagship, and it’s priced at 3199 yuan (US$ 483) only. It will
become available for purchase starting December 25.
The only changes have been made on the back. The
Oppo R11S Star Screen New Year Edition comes with a unique full-screen, as the
name suggests. But the company has also cooperated with the world’s leading
luxury suppliers in the mobile phone industry to come in with a small 18K
gold-plated Lucky Dog Zodiac symbol made of new materials and processes. Its
diameter is 4.95mm and it has a three-dimensional appearance.
As we said, the hardware is identical what you can
find on the regular model. Thus the phone sports a 6.01-inch full-screen
Snapdragon 660 chip, 4+64GB memory combination, 20MP front shooter, 20+16MP
rear camera, and a battery capacity of 3205mAh. As for the system, the Oppo
R11S Star Screen New Year Edition comes with a Christmas-style UI mainly with
red color icons and design elements.
