Asus launched the Zenfone Max Plus (M1) in Russia at
the end of last month and now just before the end of the year it is expanding
availability to other European regions. The phone’s claim to fame is the
relatively big battery (4,130mAh) coupled with a trendy 18:9 screen and dual
camera.
The Max Plus (M1) is expected to cost around € 300
in Western Europe – a hefty price given its MediaTek MT6750T chipset. And the
battery isn’t that big, the Zenfone 4 Max Plus has a 5,000mAh battery.
That phone currently sells for € 250 with a
Snapdragon 425, so we suppose the M1 is an upgrade. Still, the pricing seems
overly ambitious.
