Chuwi’s initial attempt to fundraise on Indiegogo
platform is finally completed, exceeding US$ 1,000,000, making the company achieve
one of the top 20 fund-raising campaigns on the platform, according to
Indiegogo officials. Also, all backers have received their SurBook on time.
Check out the details here.
Eventually, it hit the global market through
Geekbuying prices at US$ 399, Banggood at US$ 410, and Gearbest for US$ 451. But that’s
not the end, as now comes the smaller sibling, SurBook Mini.
As it’s a smaller version of SurBook, it sports a
10.8″ FHD OGS IPS screen, it is powered by Intel Apollo Lake N3450 CPU and
packs 4GB RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage. What stays the same, is that
they both share an adjustable kickstand going all the way up to 125 degrees.
It may be small, but the fully laminated display
produces more detailed and vibrant result while doing away with most of the
reflections and making touch more accurate as there is no air getting in the
way. As a result, the display is thinner thanks to the full lamination
technology, and the image is more bright and focused.
Connectivity-wise, there’s aUSB Type-C port, 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a
3.5mm headphone jack. The SurBook Mini has already gone into trail production
as we speak, so we can expect to see it available on Chinese Shopping Festival
season on November (November 11th). More details will be unveiled as the
release date approaches.
