The OnePlus 5 is the latest offering by OnePlus.
Now, OnePlus has sent out invitations for an event that will be held on the
19th of September. Although the details are not known, speculations are rife
that OnePlus is going to unveil a special edition of their flagship.
The invitation has a mention of the French designer,
Castelbajac, hinting towards a variant with a new colour or design. The OnePlus
3T released last year also received a limited edition version named the Colette
Edition of which only 250 units were manufactured and it was a huge success.
The tag line on the poster is, “When the style meets
its machine, one night in September in Paris”, with a picture above that
indicates a collaboration between OnePlus and Jean-Charles De Castelbajac.
OnePlus has confirmed that they will be collaborating with the French artist,
the work being named as “Callection”. The special edition wont be available in
huge quantities, so getting your hands on to one will be difficult.
The OnePlus 5 is currently available in two colour
variants, Midnight Black and Slate Gray. Like a flagship should, it carries top
of the line specs, sporting a 5.5inch Optic AMOLED screen with a resolution of
1080p. Under the hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with
6/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of ROM. On the back lies a dual camera setup 16+20MP
sensors with a 16MP snapper on the front. It is fueled by a 3300 mAh battery
with Dash charge. Watch this space for more updates!
