Verizon's announcement that it will carry the Kyocera DuraXV LTE to us by surprise.
Speaking of price, Kyocera DuraXV LTE costs US$ 264
outright or US$ 11 per month for 24 months, and no upfront payment. Although this
is a rugged handset, the bad news is it's a feature-phone, so you won't be
getting any advanced features.
On the bright side, it does come with XLTE support
and it should be sturdy enough for outdoor use. Kyocera says the DuraXV LTE is
“an exceptionally durable, full-featured flip phone that protects against
shock, water damage, solar radiation and more.”
Featuring a clamshell form factor, Kyocera DuraXV
LTE sports an internal 2.6-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) display and a secondary
external 1.08-inch mono-color LCD display with 102 x 90 resolution.
The feature-phone is equipped with a 1.1 GHz
quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal memory.
It's also powered by a 1,530 mAh battery, which should provide up to 7.7 hours
of usage time or up to 18 days of standby
