Huawei’s Honor brand introduced Honor V9 smartphone
with dual rear cameras back in February. Now it has scheduled an event in China
on September 6th to introduce V9 Play, a cheaper version of the smartphone.
The invite doesn’t reveal any details, but the
images of the phone recently surfaced on TENAA showing off its unibody metal
design and a fingerprint sensor on the back. There is Honor branding below the
screen and on the metal back and the phone has a shiny metal frame.
It is said to pack a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, powered
by Octa-Core Kirin 659 SoC with 4GB of RAM, run Android 7.0 (Nougat), come with
a 12-megapixel rear camera and is rumored to be priced at 1,500 yuan (US$ 228).
We should know all the details about the phone
when it goes official next Wednesday.
