Honor V9 Play

Huawei’s Honor brand introduced Honor V9 smartphone with dual rear cameras back in February. Now it has scheduled an event in China on September 6th to introduce V9 Play, a cheaper version of the smartphone.

The invite doesn’t reveal any details, but the images of the phone recently surfaced on TENAA showing off its unibody metal design and a fingerprint sensor on the back. There is Honor branding below the screen and on the metal back and the phone has a shiny metal frame.

It is said to pack a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, powered by Octa-Core Kirin 659 SoC with 4GB of RAM, run Android 7.0 (Nougat), come with a 12-megapixel rear camera and is rumored to be priced at 1,500 yuan (US$ 228).

We should know all the details about the phone when it goes official next Wednesday.
