Incipio Kiddy Lock Case

Apple’s Touch ID is a great way to protect your phone from prying eyes and prevented unwanted purchases. We have seen several cases in which children used the thumbprint of a sleeping parent to unlock the phone and go on a shopping spree. To that end, the folks at Incipio have the answer to your problems.

The company has announced the Kiddy Lock Case which as you can see in the photo above, blocks off access to the home button in which it cannot be pressed. This means that if an app is launched, kids can’t exit it (unless they press the sleep/wake button) or make any in-app purchases that would require the use of Touch ID for verification.

Apart from the protection of the home button, the case itself is made from a tough, shock-absorbing material that will help prevent the phone from being damaged when dropped. There is also a raised bezel around the phone that will protect the screen should it land flat on the screen side. To top it off, there’s a kickstand that lets you prop the phone up to watch TV shows or movies.

The Incipio Kiddy Lock Case will be going on sale in the first quarter of 2017 for a price of US$ 40. If this is something you’re interested in then do keep an eye out for its release in the near future.
