It’s been a long time coming but finally, we’ve got
the details for the HomTom HT37 Pro, the long-awaited update to the popular
HT37. The appearance of the new HT37 Pro remains the same as the HT37 with
white and black options for the front plate, and the rear cover coming in
either Iron Grey, Silver or Rose Gold. An aluminium panel adds a sense of class
to this Pro level smartphone.
Homtom has chosen to use a 5inch
1280 x 720 display with 2.5D panel. The vibrant display uses a G+F+F touch lens
enabling multi-touch support and allowing the phone to accept more gesture
controls.
Android 7.0 comes on the phone and with it brings
very useful features to the HT37 Pro such as the ability to run a split screen
with 2 apps running side by side. To bring 4G LTE to the HT37 Pro the processor
has been updated to a 1.3 Ghz Mediatek MT6737 chipset. The SoC also offers more
than enough processing power to run apps on a day to day basis without being
inefficient.
Just as with the original HT37, the Pro also has the
same dual front speakers for extraordinary stereo audio as well as clever
active LED lights that can be set to pulse to the frequency of the music.
Homtom hasn’t given us the final pricing of the new HT37 Pro nor do we know when
the handset will go on sale.
