Apple at the WWDC 2017 updated iMac line with up to
powerful graphics, faster 7th-generation Kaby Lake processors, Thunderbolt 3,
faster storage options and brighter Retina displays, and added a Retina 4K
display and discrete graphics to base US$ 1,299 21.5-inch iMac that offer 500 nits
brightness and Wide color (P3).
The updated iMac lineup have faster Kaby Lake
processors up to 4.2 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.5 GHz and supports 8GB of
DDR4 onboard memory. Fusion Drive is now standard on all 27-inch configurations
and the top-end 21.5-inch iMac. These also have faster SSD storage option, Four
USB 3 ports, Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C)
ports with support for DisplayPort, Thunderbolt (up to 40 Gbps) and USB 3.1 Gen
2 (up to 10 Gbps), WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.
Apple also updated 13-inch MacBook Air with a 1.8GHz
dual-core Intel Core i5 processor.
