Cherry Mobile has silently launched its 2017 version,
the entry-level Omega Icon 2. The Cherry Mobile Omega Icon 2 is still equipped
with a 5 inch screen, but it is now on 1080p FHD resolution coming from just
720p HD.
Inside, the handset runs with MediaTek's modest
MT6580 quad core chip paired with Mali 400 graphics, and 1 GB of RAM which
should be decent enough for casual social media use and loading light
applications. It has 8 GB of expandable to 64 GB storage and 2,300 mAh of
battery capacity as well.
On the camera part, it's equipped with an 8 MP main
camera sensor with autofocus and LED flash. In front, this device has a 5 MP
fixed focus lens to take care of your groufies and selfies. Completing the
specs, the phone is loaded with connectivity options such as WiFi, 3G, HSPA+,
Bluetooth 4.1, and dual SIM card slots. It also has accelerometer, proximity,
and light sensor. It boots with the newer Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box to
make it more interesting.
