Chuwi Hi13 is without a question trying to stand
directly against the Microsoft Surface Book using the very same 3:2 aspect
ratio screen with 3K 3000×2000 pixel resolution and 267 PPI. With Intel Celeron
N3450 Apollo Lake processor and 4 GB RAM the performance will be good, though
using the 64 GB eMMC storage and not SSD is a detriment to the flagship model. Everything of course running on Windows 10, but there will be also Ubuntu OS
support officially available.
The build is as usual all metal unibody and compared
to the Surface Book its a fanless design inside. We will also find AAC four
speaker audio setup, dualband ac Wi-Fi, USB-C port supporting audio and video
transmission, 10,000 mAh battery with 24W fast charging, 5 Mpix + 2 Mpix cameras
and support for the new upcoming Chuwi HiPen H3 stylus (or the already existing
HiPen H1). There is also optional detachable metal rotary keyboard with dual
USB-A full sized ports.
Chuwi Hi13 is going to be officially released on
February 20th and customers will be able to pre-order it starting that day for US$ 369. That’s not a bad price comparing it to the competition, but still add SSD
to the mix and it would be insta buy and much bigger hit.
