Homtom released their six models they are planning to take the market by a storm in the
beginning of the year. They have it nicely summarized in variety of pictures
below, but let’s look at some important points in text form too.
Whole half of the Homtom lineup consists of ultra
budget MT6580 devices so with HT27, HT37 and HT30 you have to live with just a
3G connection. So if you need 4G then go for the HT20, HT20 Pro or HT16 Pro. As
for the display size it’s nicely differentiated with two models offering the
smaller 5-inch screen, two the 5,5-inch screen and the rugged duo sports the
4,7-inch display.
Simple megapixels are not the only way to go in
camera comparisons, but still it says something and you can check the picture
below to see that Homtom models varies with 16 Mpix camera being the highest
scaling down through the 13 Mpix to most common 8 Mpix at the bottom. And HT27
and HT30 models will offer some unique back cover design with CD pattern or
fluff paint back case respectively. So if phones with fine texture are your
thing then give these another look.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast then the HT20 and
HT20 Pro duo is just for you with the rugged qualities and IP68 certification
for the waterproof, dustproof and shock resistances. Or if you are looking for
some sound gimmick then HT37 will feature double speaker setup. For more
