Huawei has unveiled Maimang 5 to its line-up. Adopting a full metal unibody
design, this mid-range smartphone packs a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD 2.5D
curved glass display, a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor, an
Adreno 506 GPU and a 3GB RAM with 32GB of expandable internal storage (up to
128GB) or 4GB RAM with 64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).
Coming with Hybrid dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD) card
slots, the handset sports an 8MP front-facing camera, a 16MP rear-facing camera
with Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, PDAF, OIS, dual-tone LED
flash and 4K video recording, a fingerprint sensor on the back and a 3340 mAh
battery.
Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1,
the Maimang 5 provides 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS
and USB Type-C for connectivity. The Huawei Maimang 5 will start shipping in
China from July 21st for 2,399 Yuan / US$ 358 (3GB RAM with 32GB storage version)
or 2,599 Yuan / US$ 388 (4GB RAM with 64GB storage version) in Champagne Gold,
Rose Gold and Moonlight Silver color options.
