Reliance LYF Wind 5


Reliance Retail has launched yet another smartphone dubbed the LYF Wind 5. Similar to the company’s previous devices, the Wind 5 features 4G LTE with VoLTE (voice over LTE) support for HD voice calling. The phone has been priced at Rs 6,599, and will be available in black and white hues across channels in the country.

As far as the specs go, the LYF Wind 5 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone packs in a 1 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and a Mali T720 GPU. It comes with 8GB expandable memory, an 8 MP autofocus primary snapper, a 5 MP selfie shooter, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a 2,000 mAh battery.

In related news, Reliance Jio is all set to commercially roll out its 4G services across the country. The brand recently started accepting registrations for 4G network trials and has reportedly started sending invites to users. During the network trials, Jio is offering users unlimited access to its Digital Life package for 90 days, which offers voice calls, HD video, data, SMS, access to eight premium apps, and coupons worth Rs 15,000 in JioMoney.
