Livefan S1
Livefan is a company you wouldn’t have
heard of before. But they seem like an optimistic bunch —
they’re out with a laptop that costs US$ 777.
Anyway, let’s take a quick look at the
spec sheet of this device: it comes with a 13.3-inch IPS display with a 2560 x
1440 resolution, which is not bad at all. It’s powered by the Intel Core 5Y10C
dual-core processor, which should give it some decent battery life, in
conjunction with a 4,800 mAh (7.4V) battery.
It also comes with 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB
SSD which should keep things running at a brisk pace for a bit. Other specs
include a 1.3 mega-pixel front camera and the usual suite of radio — Bluetooth,
WiFi a/b/g/n/ac. Oh and of course, it runs Windows 10.
Not sure what the target market is with
this kind of a price, but what is nice to see is Chinese tablet and laptop makers
venturing out of their comfort zone (read: dual boot Z8300 tablets). The S1 is
currently on pre-sale with shipping scheduled to begin 7th August.
