Lenovo Vibe C2 Power
Today in Russia, Lenovo unveiled the Vibe
C2 Power, an enhanced version of the Vibe C2. It's a bit odd that the Chinese
company is already launching a slightly better iteration of a model that only
got official last month.
Anyway, the new Vibe C2 Power comes with
a spacious 3,500 mAh battery, an improvement of 750 mAh compared to the vanilla
C2's 2,750 mAh cell. That's where the name "Power" comes in. You also
get double the RAM amount compared to the Vibe C2, now at 2 GB.
Otherwise, though, the new phone's specs
are just as unimpressive as those of the original Vibe C2 have been ever since
its announcement. Both models share a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen, an 8 MP rear
camera with LED flash, a 5 MP selfie cam, 4G LTE, and 16 GB of expandable
storage. They run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The increased battery capacity has
unsurprisingly resulted in a thicker device this time around. The Vibe C2 Power
measures 9.54 mm thickness, while the Vibe C2 is slimmer at 8.6 mm. The other
dimensions have remained the same, whereas the weight has gone up to 155.6 grams (from 139 grams).
Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but
the Vibe C2 currently retails in Russia for around RUB 11,000 (that's
approximately US$ 167 or € 151 at the current exchange rates). Since it's got the
ever so slightly improved specs, the Power version will probably be a tad more
expensive than that.
