Samsung Gear IconX
Samsung unveiled its second-gen Gear Fit
2 wearable at its event in New York City. In addition, the company has also
introduced the Gear IconX wireless earbuds with fitness tracking capabilities.
The wearable is capable of tracking heart rate, distance, speed and calories.
It can provide info via voice prompts even without paring with a smartphone.
The Samsung Gear IconX wireless earbuds
can also work as a standalone music player. Music can be transferred between
the Gear IconX and your smartphone using the Samsung Gear app. The wearable can
feed real-time heart rate details to select third-party applications. With a
tap and hold of the touchpad on the earbuds, you can launch activity tracking
and receive real-time status updates.
The Samsung Gear IconX earbuds are
splash resistant (P2i nano coating), and feature Bluetooth 4.1, 4 GB internal
memory, and a 47 mAh battery. They also come with a charging case that carries a
315 mAh battery. The accessory will be available in major markets in Q3 this
year in black, blue and white colour choices. However, there’s no word on
pricing at the moment.
