Lenovo ZUK Z1 (3 GB RAM & Cyanogen OS)
As announced recently, Lenovo had the
launched the Cyanogen-powered ZUK Z1 smartphone today in India. This is the
same device that was launched a year ago by the company’s sub-brand ZUK as ZUK
Z1 in China and selected international markets without Lenovo branding. While
in China, the device runs on in-house ZUI while the international variants run
on Cyanogen OS. Now the device launched in India runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop
based Cyanogen OS.
It sports a metal frame with
interchangeable back covers. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x
1080 pixels) resolution display with a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood
is a couple of years old Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor coupled ith Adreno
330 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. The device misses the MicroSD card slot for packs 64 GB
of internal storage which is more than enough for normal usage.
On the camera part, it sports a 13 MP
rear shooter with OIS (optical image stabilization) and LED flash. It has an
8 MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. It is kept powered on by a
4,100 mAh battery that is rated to deliver 38 hours of talk time and lasts upto
526 hours on standby. The Lenovo Z1 is also the world’s first smartphone to
feature USB 3.0 Type-C port.
The device supports dual SIM and offers
4G LTE along with other basic connectivity features. The device measures 155.7
x 77.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs about 175 grams. It is priced at Rs. 13,499 and will
be exclusively sold through Amazon India starting from May 19th.
