Haier Pad 971 Tablet

CES is the world most popular Electric show or a gadget expo where most of the brand showcases their products and announces their plan for the year. Haier is one the brand that is not much involved in the Mobile industry but has announced a new tablet, the Haier Pad 971.

It has a 9.7-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. It comes powered by Rockchip RK 3288 Soc with Cortex A17 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. The design of the device is simple and is available in Gold color. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage and can be expanded upto 32 GB using an external Micro SD card slot. The device comes powered by a 7,800 mAH Li-Poly non-removable battery that has a standby time of about eight days.

The device sports a 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera that can be used for video calling using Wi-Fi as the device doesn’t have any SIM card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB Type 2.0 are connectivity features available on the device.

In the competitive world launching, a tablet with older configuration is bad choice. Though the device sports 7,800 mAh battery that doesn’t mean that if will supports all the options on the device. The tablet is expected to be sold under US$ 200, but there are many interesting alternatives available at this price point.
