X-Systems X-Tel 3500


The Netherlands based X-Systems has introduced a new feature phone called X-Tel 3500 that comes with super rugged features. It will be the successor for X-Tel 3000 that was launched in January 2015. The device is priced at EUR 200 (US$ 225 / Rs. 15,350), making it one of the costliest feature phone in the market. Apart from the rugged capabilities, the device comes with basic specifications.

The 2,000mAh lithium battery is the largest battery we have ever seen on a feature phone. It is rated to deliver 15 hours of talk time and lasts upto 330 hours in standby. It comes with a 2.4-inch display of 320 x 240 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection on top. It has a single camera on the rear with 1.3 MP sensor, but we don’t expect it to give detailed captures. It also equipped with a bright 1-Watt LED flashlight on the top edge of the device.

The X-Tel 3500 runs on Nucleus OS and includes a RAM of 64 MB and internal storage of 64 MB. All thanks to the expandable storage option, where you expand the storage capacity upto 32 GB. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It can be used anywhere in the world with a working temperatures from -20°C and all upto a maximum of 80°C.

With the Military standard IP68 certification, this waterproof device can be used even underwater upto a depth of 2 meters. The ergonomic design makes sure the device isn’t affected against falling, shocking, and spilling. The T9 keyboard with large keys give a typical retro feel and can be quickly typed even wearing the gloves. The device also supports all the major European languages like English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. The X-Tel 3500 measures 128.8 x 56.2 x 17 mm and weighs 136.5 grams.
