Intex FitRist
The FitRist is
company’s first fitness smart band offering that promises a lot of
functionality at a pricing of Rs 999. The wearable market in India sees a lot
of growth, but it is still at its initial stage, with interests being taken by
Indian brands, the time wouldn’t be far when just like smartphones, every
Indian would have access to the fitness trackers. The country where health
problems are at its peak needs a solution in terms of motivation, which is one
of the purpose of strapping a fitness band on the wrist.
The FitRist tracker comes with a
0.86-inch OLED display that would be showing the fitness data such as steps
taken, calories burned, etc. It makes the cheapest fitness tracker with OLED
display. Apart from tracking your daily activities, it would also monitor
sleep. Meanwhile, the wearable would offer notifications for incoming calls as
well as control music from the wrist. There is one other interesting feature
available in this smart band; it allows capturing the photo from the camera of
the connected phone.
This fitness tracker from India’s number
1 offline brand would be available for sell exclusively on the Snapdeal, which
an e-Commerce store. It’s quite ironical. We only hope that company would
further increase the availability to its offline users. The device can be
paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth connection. It can only be connected
to devices running on the Android 4.3 or above and iOS7 and above version.
Currently, there are many affordable options to Indian consumers when it comes
to the fitness tracker when compared to around two years back.
Sporting 3-axis accelerometer sensor to
measure the distance travelled and accurately monitor sleep, the FitRist
wearable band from Intex is claimed to be water resistant and splash proof so
that you can take it away with you in rains and don’t worry about accidental
spills on it. The fitness band would be coming in two color variants Dark Blue
and White.
The company claims that its battery can
last up to 12 days, which is amazing for a wearable device with a display.
Since, it is an OLED screen, not a color display; it can be expected to give
battery life as expected.
