3-in-1 Windows hybrid
Mumbai-based
GlobalSpace Technologies has launched a 3-in-1 Windows-powered tablet called
the Solt. The device comes with a dock, which allows it to be used as a
full-fledged laptop or a desktop. The dock has keyboard with magnetic dock, a
large touch-pad, an HDMI port, USB ports to connect an external mouse or
keyboard, and a magnetic cover to keep the device safe.
The
tablet component of the Solt features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution
of 1,280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Baytrail
Z3735G processor, aided by 2 GB of RAM. The slate has 64 GB of internal memory,
which can be further increased up to 128 GB via a microSD card. It runs Window
8.1 with Bing, and is upgradable to Windows 10 for free. Connectivity options
include USB 3.0, mini HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G for data. A 7,900 mAh
battery provides the juice, and is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of
web-browsing.
The
dock component comes with four USB ports, an RJ 45 built-in connector, 8W dual
surround speakers, up to 1 TB of storage, and a DC 5V/4A power jack. Users can
download an app called MySOLT to control the device via any Android or Windows
smartphone.
The
Solt has been priced at Rs 19,450, and will be available via major online
shopping portals including Snapdeal and Amazon. It comes bundled with a one
year free device insurance by Oriental Insurance.
