Firefly mobile intros another smartphone under the Intense series that features a metallic body made of Magnesium alloy, the Firefly Mobile Intense Metal.

It focuses on ‘beauty and strength’ which are apparent in the photos below specially the icy champagne or gold model. Moreover, it’s well within the average Filipino’s budget at PHP 4,499.

The Firefly Mobile Intense Metal has a huge 5.5-inch screen with zero-gap OGS technology and protected by a scratch resistant Asahi DragonTrail glass.

However, it only has a qHD resolution or 540 x 960 pixels which results in a pixel density of merely 200 ppi. Hopefully, the OGS technology can offset this weakness and prevent users from noticing the pixels.

On the other hand, photography should be sweet with its 13 MP rear camera that uses a backside illuminated (BSI) image sensor from Sony. Selfies are taken care of an 8 MP front snapper.

A 1.3 GHz quad core processor from MediaTek powers the Firefly Mobile Intense Metal together with 1 GB of RAM. Sadly, it only has Android 4.4 Kitkat and a Lollipop update isn’t guaranteed. There’s 8 GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card and a 3,300 mAh battery that should be enough for more than a day of use.
