Bluboo
Xtouch
The
Xtouch promises to be a feature packed phone, but Bluboo, the makers of the
handset, aren’t forgetting that their fans know them for value for money which
explains the lower than expected launch price. Bluboo will sell the Bluboo Xtouch
through authorised online Chinese tech resellers, with pricing of the standard
edition phone set at US$ 179.99.
Bluboo
are marketing their latest creation as one of the best 5-inch smartphones
currently on the market. On the surface that seems like a bold claim, but
really in today’s market there are very few 5-inch phones to choose from.
Features
that the Bluboo Xtouch brags are JDI sourced 1920 x 1080 FHD IPS,OGS display
with pixel density of 441ppi. The Xtouch should also grab the attention of
photographers with a tried and tested Sony IMX214 13 mega-pixel main sensor,
while selfie fans will love the 8 mega-pixel Omnivision sensor and F2.0
aperture.
A
slender 5.5 mm alloy chassis manages to house an octacore Mediatek chipset, 3 GB
RAM and 32 GB internal memory. The phone also comes with a 360 degree
fingerprint scanner beneath the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 display. The rear of the
phone is treated to more curves with what Bluboo call a 3.0D mirror cover.
The
3 -in 1 SIM tray is unique to the Bluboo Xtouch and lets the user use dual SIM
cards and a micro SD card at the same time! Other phone makers force the
customer to choose between dual SIMs or a single SIM and micro SD card.
Finally
there is HIFI audio quality sound, a 3050 mAh battery and fast charger and Android
Lollipop OS all thrown in for good measure too.
Bluboo
are also set to launch a more advanced version of the Xtouch with 4 GB RAM and
more powerful chipset choice, but at this stage there is no mention of when it
will go on sale or how much it might cost. Details of the standard Xtouch
though are available over all the Bluboo website.
