The vivo X200 family will be introduced on October 14, and we expect three phones - a vanilla X200, a more powerful X200 Pro, and a compact X200 Pro Mini. Although the launch is still two weeks away, the phones were already listed at JD.com for pre-order, the listings featuring their official images.
All three phones will have flat frames,
unlike the X100 lineup. The company will stick to a circular camera island,
similar to the previous series, and we can see the X200 and X200 Pro have three
shooters.
The X200 and X200 Pro have shiny backs in
four colors: Black, White, Blue, and Silver. The X200 Pro Mini uses more
playful colors and a matte finish, with Pink and Green being the hero colors
next to White and Black options. The renders also reveal that the X200 series
will stick to Zeiss-branded cameras, meaning the German camera company will
contribute its know-how for processing the photos.
The vivo X200 phones might have flat
sides, but a company exec still says the display will be curved. According to
Jia Jingdong, vivo brand manager, the panel is actually
"micro-quad-curved," and we have to wait until the phones arrive to
see how slight the curves are.
Both renders and the official photo from
yesterday revealed that the X200 will have glossy sides. The frame may or may
not be titanium, but there are fourteen days until the launch, so we will
definitely hear more about these phones.
