vivo is working on a new smartphone, the S20. The S series is positioned in the company's portfolio right underneath the flagship X family, so this is going to be an important release. The vivo S20 will be 7.19mm thick, but even so it will pack a massive 6,500 mAh battery inside. The phone weighs 185.5g. So it's both slimmer and lighter than the S19, while having a battery that's 500 mAh larger. That's quite the feat of engineering for sure.
The S20 has a 6.67-inch 1,260x2,800 AMOLED
touchscreen, a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP secondary rear camera, a 50 MP
selfie snapper, and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset at the helm.
Compared to the S19, the S20 has a
slightly smaller screen and the already mentioned bigger battery and smaller
dimensions. Everything else seems identical, which isn't very surprising
considering that the S19 launched in May - it looks like the S series is
refreshing twice every year, which means each iteration will only have so many
changes from its predecessor.
