The Redmi 14C introduced last month is now joined by the 'R' model. The Redmi 14R is built around a 6.88" 120Hz HD+ LCD with 600 nits peak brightness and support for wet touch. The Redmi 14C has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC at the helm with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable by up to 1TB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box.
For photography, you get a 13MP primary
camera on the rear, joined by an unknown unit, and on the front is a 5MP camera
for selfies and video calls. Keeping the lights on is a 5,160 mAh battery with
18W charging support. The rest of the Redmi 14R's highlights include a
dedicated microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm
headphone jack.
The Redmi 14R comes in four colors with
four memory options - 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, priced at
CNY 1,099 (US$ 155/€ 140/INR 12,995), CNY1,499 (US$ 210/€ 190/INR 17,725), CNY 1,699
(US$ 240/€ 215/INR 20,090), and CNY 1,899 (US$ 265/€ 240/INR 22,455), respectively. The
smartphone will be sold in China through Xiaomi's website, but its availability
in other markets is unknown.
