The NxtPaper 14 packs a 14.3" NxtPaper 3.0 screen, which is the latest version of the e-ink-mimicing of display. It filters harmful blue light by up to 61% while retaining sharp images and full colors. The panel has 2,400 x 1,600 px resolution and up to 400 nits brightness. The refresh rate is capped at 60 Hz, while the touch panel supports up to 10 points and works with the TCL stylus T-Pen. The slate has a physical toggle that allows for quick change between Regular, Color Paper, and Ink Paper modes.
The tablet has a 10,000 mAh battery that
supports 33W wired charging. The hardware is nothing exceptional, with a Helio
G99 chipset, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It is a Wi-Fi-only device that
doesn't take cards – neither SIM nor microSD. There is a circular camera island
on the back for the 8 MP camera with AF, while the front has two cameras with
13 MP and 5 MP sensors. They also work for Face Unlock, which is the only
biometric unlocking option, as the NxtPaper 14 lacks a fingerprint scanner.
The TCL NxtPaper 14 comes with Android 14
and is priced at € 399. It will be available in Europe, Latin America, Asia
Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
