Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra has long been rumored to have a different shape compared to its predecessor, with more rounded corners to the frame so that it won't put a dent in your hand. Now, a new rumor claims Samsung's next flagship smartphone will be thinner and lighter than both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL.
While we don't yet have official
dimensions for the former, as it's only due to become official on September 9,
the Pixel 9 Pro XL is 8.5mm thick and weighs 221g. For comparison, the Galaxy
S24 Ultra is 8.6mm thick and weighs 232g.
So, with these numbers in mind, the Galaxy
S25 Ultra should be at most 8.4mm thick and weigh 220g or less. But wait,
there's more - the source of this info, the Chinese leakster who goes by Ice
Universe, says the S25 Ultra will not only be thinner and lighter than these
two devices, but than all Ultra flagship phones to be released soon.
We assume this includes the Oppo Find X8
Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and vivo X200 Ultra, all due to arrive at various
points within the next few months. So with the overall thinness and lightness
and its incredibly small bezels, the S25 Ultra could be quite the enticing
proposition indeed.
