Following several high-profile leaks, Redmi 14C is now official. The budget device features an all-new design, larger 6.88-inch 120Hz display and the all-new Helio G81 Ultra chipset. Redmi 14C is built around a 6.88-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at up to 600-nits peak brightness and features a 13MP selfie cam embedded in the water drop notch.
The new phone is the first to launch with
MediaTek's new Helio G81 Ultra SoC. It features the same CPU configuration as
the G80 with Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 clocked at up to 2.0GHz alongside the
Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Redmi 14C is available with 4/6/8 GB RAM and 128/256GB
storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot.
The back features a 50MP main cam and an
unspecified auxiliary lens. The other two cutouts are for the LED flash and a
sticker. Xiaomi also added a slightly larger 5,160 mAh battery with 18W
charging and retained the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and headphone jack.
Redmi 14C is available in Midnight Black, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Starry
Blue colors. While Xiaomi did not reveal official pricing, the device is
already available from retailers in Czechia. Pricing there starts at CZK 2,999
(€ 120/US$ 130) for the 4/128 GB trim and goes up to CZK 3,699 (€ 148/US$ 163) for the
8/256 GB model.
