Infinix is getting ready to launch the Zero 40 4G and the Zero 40 5G. The latter has now been spotted in the Google Play Console, with the model number X6861. The listing reveals that it's powered by the MediaTek MT6896Z/CZA, which is the same chipset code found in the Infinix GT 20 Pro that uses the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC.
Thus, the Zero 40 5G will be borrowing the
chip from its already announced cousin. The upcoming handset has a screen
resolution of 1080x2436, and 12GB of RAM in the listing (though more memory
options could be offered). It will run Android 14 when it launches. A past
Geekbench run also confirms the Dimensity 8200 SoC, and a new TUV certification
tells us that the Zero 40 5G will have a 4,900 mAh battery, just like the 4G
model.
Speaking of the 4G variant, this one has
the model number X6860 and is powered by MediaTek's Helio G99 SoC. It too will
run Android 14 from day one and will have one version with 8GB of RAM. Its
screen has the same resolution as the 5G version's. Based on its FCC
certification, it looks like it will go up to 512GB in terms of storage.
