The Xiaomi Buds 5 use a “semi-in-ear” design and the company says that you can barely feel them in your ear while wearing them. Each bud weighs only 4.2g but can last an impressive 6.5 hours at a time (the total listening time with the case is 39 hours).
The buds support Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless
audio codec (up to 2.1Mbps) and have been tuned by the Harman AudioEFX team.
There is Active Noise Cancellation and AI noise reduction for calls with 3
microphones. Spatial audio and multi-point connectivity are on board as well.
The buds are rated IP54, so they are
resistant to sweat and rain. The Xiaomi Buds 5 are priced at CNY 700
(US$ 97/€ 89/₹ 8,000).
