Oppo's Reno12 series consists of two smartphones - Reno12 and Reno12 Pro. That number has changed to three as Oppo unveiled the Reno12 F today. The Oppo Reno12 F is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC and has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard, expandable via a microSD card. The smartphone boots Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0.1 and comes with Oppo AI. It includes AI Recording Summary, AI Summary for text, AI Writer, and AI Speak.
The Oppo Reno12 F has a 6.67" 120Hz
FHD+ OLED on the front with AGC DT-Star2 glass protection and a fingerprint
reader underneath. The display can be used even when it is wet, and it also has
a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera. Moving on to the back, we
have a big circular camera module reminiscent of the Oppo Find N3's setup. The
module sports a circular lighting ring called Halo Light around it, and the
design is called Cosmos Ring, which is inspired by luxury watches.
The circular module houses three cameras -
50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide (112° FOV), and 2MP macro. These come with some
AI-powered features, including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, and
AI Studio. The rest of the Oppo Reno12 F's highlights include a 5,000 mAh
battery, 45W charging, USB-C, an IR Blaster, and an IP64 rating.
The Oppo Reno12 F comes in green and
orange colors, with the latter inspired by Peach Fuzz, which is Pantone's Color
of 2024. The smartphone is listed on Oppo's Thai website, but the brand is yet
to detail its pricing and availability.
