The Ace series from OnePlus is just a step under the flagship number series devices and the Ace 3 Pro narrowed the gap with the OnePlus 12 more than any previous model in the series. It features a slightly smaller curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak local brightness.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is carried
over and you can configure the Ace 3 Pro with up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB
UFS 4.0 storage. The cameras are identical to the regular Ace 3/OnePlus 12R
with a 24mm 50MP main shooter with F/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultrawide
lens (16mm), and a 2MP macro cam. One area where Ace 3 Pro holds the advantage
over its flagship sibling is in the battery department. Ace 3 Pro is the first
device to feature OnePlus’ new Glacier Battery tech which brings a more
energy-dense cell with a 6,100 mAh capacity.
OnePlus is also bringing an updated
passive cooling system with a 9126mm² VC heat dissipation area which claims 36%
improved cooling compared to the outgoing OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and 70% improved
thermal conductivity. OnePlus also guarantees that the battery will retain 80%
of its original capacity after 4 years of usage and it supports 100W SuperVOOC
S wired charging which can top up from 0 – 100% in 36 minutes. The phone also
holds an IP65 rating, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
OnePlus Ace 3 Pro comes in Porcelain
White, Green Field and Titanium Silver colors. Pricing starts at CNY 3,199
(US$ 440) for the 12/256GB trim and tops out at CNY 4,399 (US$ 605) for the 24GB RAM
and 1TB storage version. Open sales in China start on July 3.
