HMD is preparing for a new release, as hinted by leaks from tipster HMD_MEME’S (@smashx_60). The rumoured upcoming device, tentatively named HMD Nighthawk. It is anticipated to feature a rigid 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, it may run on the Unisoc T760 5G SoC, built using a 6nm process.
In terms of design, the phone might sport
an anti-slip texture on the back and is designed for easy repair in partnership
with iFixit, similar to HMD’s previous Pulse series. The leaked image showcases
a green color variant, suggesting other color options could also be available.
Regarding photography, the HMD Nighthawk
is expected to offer a versatile camera setup with a 108MP main sensor
supporting OIS for 4K@30fps video recording, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a
rear flash. For selfies, it could feature a 16MP front camera capable of
binning to 64MP.
Powering the device could be a 4900mAh
battery, coupled with 8GB of RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Additional features may include Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and it is
said to run on Android 14.
While there’s no confirmed launch date
yet, an official announcement from HMD could be expected soon.
