A new gaming smartphone, empowered by AI is on its way. Today, nubia announced that Red Magic 9S Pro will be unveiled on July 3 at an event in China. The gaming branch of the ZTE-owned brand is also preparing to launch a monster laptop with a 14th-gen Intel Core i9 CPU and GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. The device will also have a metal build, similar to an Apple MacBook.
The nubia brand and its Red Magic
subsidiary are yet to reveal more details about the upcoming phone (or phones),
but based on previous iterations, we expect the 9S to keep the same design and
internals as the Red Magic 9 phones. Differences should be a slightly optimized
chipset on the hardware side, while software-wise there should be some
AI-branded optimizations and features.
Red Magic traditionally launches two
versions of its S series, which have been named Pro and Pro+ in the past two
generations, as opposed to Pro and Vanilla before that. This means we should
get a Red Magic 9S Pro and Red Magic 9S Pro+, with the latter being the true
beast of a smartphone that would fit the Red Magic portfolio of gaming devices.
