Xiaomi BE5000 Wi-Fi 7 router

Xiaomi unveiled the BE5000 router in its home market. The new Xiaomi BE5000 router which comes with mesh and Wi-Fi 7 protocol support has now gone on sale in China. The Xiaomi Router BE5000 has a rated data transfer rate of 5,011 Mbps with 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands.

The Xiaomi Router BE5000 has five antennas and its Wi-Fi 7 protocol compatibility means it has throughput and speed that are 68% and 48% better respectively than Wi-Fi 6. It has Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and this allows simultaneous connection to its two frequency bands. The MLO Dual-Channel integration allows the two links to transmit in parallel to better cope with environmental interference. It offers greater stability and reduced latency even with longer distances. The model also comes with Xrange 2.0 technology for enhanced coverage and reduced latency. The signal coverage range of the BE5000 is 4.5 meters.

There are four ports on the router including a 2.5Gbps high-speed WAN/LAN network port and three 1Gbps WAN/LAN ports. The external antennas of the router, in combination with Beamforming, help to deliver stronger and more reliable connections with less interference. The BE5000 router has a 6nm high-performance dual wireless chip that supports up to 128 devices online at the same time.

The Xiaomi Router BE5000 offers HyperOS Connect for smart home integration and features a built-in game accelerator. The dimensions of the router are 271.9 x 40.9 x 220.8 mm. The router is available to buyers in China from JD.com for 279 yuan (US$ 40). Xiaomi already sells several router models in other markets including Europe and Asia. There are no indications, however, when the Router BE5000 will be available in other markets.
