The Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will soon get a new sibling in the series if a new leak from a usually reliable source is to be believed. The fourth member of the family is said to be the Xiaomi 14 SE, a model which is expected to launch in India in June.
It will be priced under INR 50,000 (US$ 599
or € 560). Unfortunately, the source of this
information hasn't revealed any of the phone's specs, so it's unclear exactly
what you'll be getting for that sort of money. He alleges the 14 SE could be a
rebranded Civi 4 Pro, which was recently launched in China with the Snapdragon
8s Gen 3 chipset, but keep in mind this sounds like mere speculation on his
part, not actually leaked information.
Still, if it does turn out to be a Civi 4
Pro under a different name (and it definitely wouldn't be out of character for
Xiaomi to play the rebranding game), then expect the 14 SE to feature a
6.55-inch 1236x2750 120 Hz AMOLED touchscreen with 3,000-nit peak brightness,
12/16GB of RAM, 256/512GB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main
with OIS, 12 MP ultrawide, 50 MP 2x telephoto), a dual front-facing camera
system (32 MP main, 32 MP ultrawide), and a 4,700 mAh battery with support for
67W wired charging.
It should run Android 14 with HyperOS 1.0
on top of course. From the specs, it's unclear what the idea is here and who
this device is for. Maybe Xiaomi misses the "Lite" models from
yesteryear and the Xiaomi 14 SE is that kind of handset, with lesser specs but
still benefitting from being perceived as being part of the flagship family.
