vivo today added a new member to the V30 lineup, dubbed vivo V30e. The vivo V30e has the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC at the helm with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It runs Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 out of the box, and vivo promises three Android version upgrades and four years of security updates for the phone.
The vivo V30e packs a 6.78" 120Hz
FullHD+ curved AMOLED display with 1,300 nits peak brightness and a fingerprint
scanner underneath. It also has a centered punch-hole for the 50MP selfie
camera with autofocus. Around the back, the vivo V30e sports a circular camera
island housing flash called "Smart Aura Light" and two cameras - 50MP
primary (Sony IMX882 with OIS) and 8MP ultrawide (120° FOV). The primary camera
and selfie shooter can record 4K videos, while the former "can also double
up as a 50mm prime-focal length portrait lens which deploys a lossless-2x
zoom-in."
Fueling the entire package is a 5,500 mAh
battery with 44W fast charging support. The rest of the vivo V30e's highlights
include an IP64 rating, USB-C, and 5G connectivity. The vivo V30e comes in
Velvet Red and Silk Blue colors with two memory options - 8GB/128GB and
8GB/256GB, priced at INR 27,999 (US$ 335/€ 315) and INR 29,999 (US$ 360/€ 335),
respectively. The smartphone will go on sale in India starting May 9 through
vivo's official Indian website, Flipkart, and retail stores.
